#7: Blindheim
This is actually one of my favourite Fiend Folio monsters, but by the book the Blindheim is just a little frogman who shines beams of light from its eyes and blinds you, and there are already three other kinds of frogman in the Fiend Folio, all of whom do it better than the blindheim. However, I feel that there are two different ways to make it work better. One is to make it a sort of weird batrachian infant that straddles the line between jolly and creepy, and the other is to make it a big toad that fills you with such a feeling of wrongness that your sight just shuts off.
Blindheim, a.k.a. Hypnotoad D&D style.
